Enchanting Objects in Minecraft

Enchanting Objects in Minecraft

After killing mobs of pigs and zombies, you can rank up enough XP to enchant objects like your armor or a weapon. Enchanting objects makes them sturdier and stronger. When you can fight mobs better, you live longer in the game.

When you enchant an object it gets extra abilities such as fire protection, knock-back, sharpness, unbreakability, or feather falling, for example. Not all objects can apply the same enchantment, for instance, sword could not apply feather falling, but armor could. Any object can have several levels of enchantment, each level making it stronger, but the highest level for enchanting is 30.

For even stronger enchanted objects, you can combine two enchanted objects. To do this, you do need an anvil, which you can make with 3 iron blocks and iron ingots.

You can go even further with enchantment tables. To make one, you need 2 diamonds, 4 obsidians, and 1 book. You find the gems by mining, the book comes from sugar cane and leather. Surround your enchantment table with bookshelves (3 books and wood), and you enchantment level of all your enchanted items will be even higher.

You can mine better with enchanted objects, and at the end of the day, isn’t that what you want to do in Minecraft?
